Summary:
Sam(antha) Carter, Air Force Major, starts a dangerous game of dominance and submission with her commanding officer. Leather and Lace is a series of short stories, each describing an interlude between Sam Carter and Jack O’Neill, and each one taking Sam and Jack deeper into the world of BDSM as he teaches her what being a sexual submissive means.
This story series contains BDSM, D/s, Non-Con Roleplay and general kinkiness.

Wow, I couldn’t stop reading. Excellent writing, you’ve captured the characters so well. I was so skeptical when I saw this (and I’m new to fanfic) but it turned out to be totally believable and carefully done.

I love how you have not made a mockery of this lifestyle as other authors have done. This is a million times better than Fifty Shades and should be made into a movie. I would sure as hell watch it!

I’m a huge Stargate-fan, so I read a lot of fanfictions and then I found your blog a few days ago and must say I love to read your stories, pulled even an *unhealthy allnighter* for “Stargate Aschen” because I wanted to know how it goes on XD *dead tired but worth it*
The L&L arcs are so fascinating, for me not only because of the BDSM content which is absolute HOT but the trust-theme in it.After a little struggling at the beginning, it was exciting to follow the story,the push of limits,the changes but still the original-feel of the characters, all the details which help to suck you in and I think writing about a theme like this without giving the reader the feeling of “somehow this is weird”, can’t be easy. It’s so well written I can almost see it before my eyes and the best thing for me is, it doesn’t get less exciting after reading them. I could do it again and would still be fascinated, which I’ll do after I’m through all^^
I can’t wait for “Obedience”& “Limits”-alone the titles gets me excired^^ I hope my gibberish makes any sense hahaha

I think the key to writing about BDSM without it being weird is that as an author you can’t think it’s weird. To me it isn’t–and never was–and that’s what I try to convey in these stories. There are so many misconceptions about BDSM or D/s in mainstream culture, and sadly books (or movies) like 50 Shades don’t help at all. So I wanted to write a story in which I show people who are into BDSM are completely normal people and not some freaks. And I’m actually surprised by how many of my readers have come forward either publicly or privately and said they love it, and how they are into BDSM or D/s as well.
Most BDSM stories or nuances in media always show a very very extreme side of BDSM. So everybody assumes that’s what it always is. But nobody ever show a real loving, trusting couple. :) That’s what I wanted to do. I hope that makes sense.
Oh, and btw, I’m German too, so you can write in German if that would be easier for you. :)

I think it’s important to show ‘normal’ characters in those relationships, and not always focus on the sensationalist or more extreme facets on the lifestyle, such as most other BDSM romances do. The only books that I know directed at an audience who has never come in contact with BDSM is “Fifty Shades of Grey”, and sadly that is such a poor representation of the lifestyle (first and foremost because it starts on the premise that BDSM is “fifty shades of fucked up” and something that has to be fixed or cured).
So, yeah, this story actually started out as a challenge for myself to see if I could do a better job than E.L.James. ;)

I was a bit concerned whether Jack was being too rough, or maybe it wasn’t clear that this was consensual. Rape roleplay is a debated subject still, so I was concerned people might not like it.
But honestly? Eddings? Tolkien? Wow… not sure I feel comfortable if you compare Erotica to Fantasy Epics. :D But I’m honored by the comparison.
I do plan on writing a few more parts for Leather and Lace, as soon as I have the inspiration.
I’m putting all my work into “Stargate Aschen” now, because that story was scheduled to be finished by now. And I’m giving it a complete revision. Maybe you’ll give that a try for now. (But don’t read the unrevised chapters, please. :P ) It’s completely different, but it’s also Sam/Jack romance, and it will have the erotic scenes finally. It won’t be BDSM or D/s though. :)
