The Sims 4 Stargate SG-1 Edition is here… finally.
A few years ago I created my The Sims 3 Stargate SG-1 Sims, and back when I published them, I had a few requests to do the same for The Sims 4.
It took me a while to do so, mainly because The Sims 3 remains my favorite Sims game by far due to its open world features, the possibilities to explore, and last but not least awesome mods such as Oniki Kay’s Kinky World, which adds realistic romance progression, female cycle, pregnancy (and prevention thereof) and last but not least, some more realistic–erm–adult woohoo options. ;)
The Sims 3 World Adventures remained my favorite expansion pack ever, so all this time I kept playing The Sims 3 rather than the new game.
Now The Sims 4 released a DLC called Jungle Adventures, which is similar to world adventures. So I bought it and reinstalled my The Sims 4 game to try it out. First of all, let me say a few words regarding The Sims 4.
I have always been a huge fan of The Sims series, starting from the very first game. But The Sims 4 has disappointed me so utterly, that I uninstalled it pretty soon after buying it and never really went back to it. Even with the new Jungle Expansion Pack, that is probably not going to change. It is a great pack with beautiful scenery. But it just lacks the excitement of the exploring that the open world offered, and not even shorter loading times or more complex interactions can make up for that. At least not for me. I don’t mean to bash the game, since I know many people love The Sims 4. And that’s awesome, and the reason why I made these characters.
But unless The Sims 5 goes back to the open world, The Sims 3 will remain my #1 Sims game.
Therefore, I will most likely not make any other Stargate-related items such as O’Neill’s cabin, or even a Stargate.
I might, over time, make the other SG-1 team members and add them here, but it will not go beyond that. The reason for that is that I am simply not engaged enough with The Sims 4.
So for now, you will have to do with Sam and Jack. And here they are.
Since The Sims 4 had some pretty good content from the get go, I didn’t need to use any custom outfits or hair for them. The only thing I used was a mod to adjust their height, so that there’s a height difference. I have included that mod with each character, but you don’t have to use it. The only difference will be, that the characters will have the same height–which, in all fairness, makes animations like kissing a lot less awkward. With the height slider, their mouths don’t meet and the interactions just look awkward.
But, if you (like me) like realism with your Sims game, you might prefer if your Sims each have a different height. (I am not sure why EA has not long included height sliders in their game. I do believe the very first game had them, but none after that.)
Please be aware that I am listing the single sims in separate households first. If you want to download both, Sam and Jack, together in one household, please scroll to the end of this post.
Installation Instruction:
Unpack the .zip archive. Copy the files from the “Sim” folder into the following folder: The Sims 4\Tray
If you would like to install the height slider as well, copy the content from the “Mod” folder into the following folder: The Sims 4\Mods
Done. Now start your game as always.
